our philosophy
Christian Counseling of Mansfield offers counseling from a Biblical worldview. It is our belief that the Bible is absolutely true and able to sufficiently address the situations that we face in life (2 Peter 1:3-4).
The Scriptures were given to teach us how to be properly related to God, to each other, and to have a proper view of ourselves. The Scriptures reprove us where our thinking is flawed, show us how to correct it, and then train us in how to live righteously (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).
We believe this approach serves as a wonderful lens for the counseling process.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV)
"His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire."
2 Peter 1:3-4 (ESV)
Two primary objectives guide the counseling philosophy at CCM:
Help those who come to CCM to know for sure that they have a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Equip them to grow in that relationship through the various circumstances of life.
our belief About marriage
We believe that marriage was instituted by God in Genesis 2:18-25 and reinforced throughout the New Testament in various places (Matthew 19; Ephesians 5; Colossians 3, etc.).
A biblical marriage is one that consists of a biologically born man and woman. Because God is the originator and designer of marriage, it is not to be distorted by current trends and ideologies.
