Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance. We are very aware of the difficulty the added expense of counseling might have on a family's budget. Therefore, we strive to keep the cost of counseling at a reasonable rate, and not prolong the counseling sessions beyond what is necessary.
How many sessions will be needed?
There is no definitive answer to this question because there are many variables. That question can be more accurately answered after the first few meetings. The desire is to offer as many sessions as is necessary to properly address the need, and terminate the sessions as soon as it is expedient to do so.
Do you counsel children?
The approach with minor children under the age of 18 is to meet with the parents for a first session. After the meeting with the parents, a decision is then made as to what the best approach would be in bringing in the student. The most customary process is to meet with the student for two sessions and then meet with the parents and the student for a fourth session. The nature of any future sessions is discussed during the fourth session.
